Focusing on Cincinnati singer/song writers, Under the Lights is an inside look at the local music scene. Listen to all of the performers as they try to inspire and evoke with their musical styles and tongues.
Episode 1 - The Dukes
With two EP's behind them, The Dukes are currently recording first full-length album. Their songs can be found online at Myspace, Facebook, Twitter, Sonicbids, Mavaru, and Youtube. You can also purchase their album for a modest $5.00 at Shake It Records.
As frontman/guitarist Lucas 'The Duke' Frazier says, "The Dukes are the rebirth of Rock and Roll." He and his long-time friend, singer/guitarist Luke 'The Duke' Darling have been playing together for over three years. Along with their drummer Dave 'The Duke' Reid and bass player Randy 'The Archduke' Proctor, the Dukes are like nothing you've ever seen or heard before, nor could you forget.

Episode 2 - Ben Berger
Try looking for Ben Berger on Facebook, but you might have better luck stumbling upon him at local bars or playing on the riverbank.
Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, Ben learned most of his musical ability from his father. He plays guitar, piano, and harmonica, but has not yet started a professional recording career. While a natural musician, he was influenced by popular artists and bands, such as Neil Young, Elton John, and The Moody Blues.

Episode 3 - The Shy Spots
The Shy Spots can be found at the Mad Frog, Mainstay Rock Bar, and Baba Budans in Cincinnati, Ohio. They can also be found online at Myspace and Youtube.
"The Shy Spots are a smoke-filled bar band version of The Strokes meets the Arctic Monkeys...The Doors and The Clash. With a flanel shirt and five o'clock shadow rock sensibility, Ryan's unpretentious vocal delivery and unbuttoned lead guitar combined with McCarthy's ballsy bass lines and Corona's drum set giving just enough guidance make The Shy Spots sound 'as cool as the other side of the pillow.'"

Episode 4 - Justin Lavely
Justin is the lead singer/guitarist for the late band, Just Like Monsters... He could be found playing at local Cincinnati bars, such as Mad Hatter and Southgate House.
Just Like Monsters... first played together in Spring 2009. Each member incorporated their own touch to the song-writing process, with Roger Cadle on drums, Joe Berger on bass guitar/vocals, and Dave Constable on guitar. Justin has been playing music since he was a child. As he used to be the frontman for the band, Justin represented the band's well-paced, dynamic sound that is hard to find familiar or forget.
