Autodesk Maya - Introduction

Maya is a very popular and expensive 3D animation software from Autodesk. Its wide array of tools and capabilities, from modeling to animation to particiles and rendering, makes Maya a sort of swiss army knife in 3D design. In the industry, 3D designers usually make use of several programs on a single project, most usually Cinema 4D, 3DS Max, and Z-Brush, coupled with small programs for specialized tasks.

Maya's visual interface makes it a great program for beginners, but it's still very, very confusing at first glance. That's why we made a whole section dedicated to introducing you to the program. Watch these videos and maybe Maya won't feel so daunting.
